Christmas 2024

As 2024 begins to wind down, and the holidays approach, the Chesley Hospital Foundation would like to extend our warmest wishes to you and your family. The support shown by individuals, groups, and local businesses for the Chesley Hospital and Medical Clinic has been inspiring and reinforces how much healthcare close to home means to all of us; how important it is to keep your donation dollars working at home.  

The Johnson family have been strong supporters of our local healthcare, and in 2024 that hit very close to home. Glenys Johnson shares; “The loss of a loved one is something we will all have to face sometime during our lifetime. It's never easy. It’s a time to not be alone and a time to have the support of caring doctors, nurses, therapists, care workers and other specialists within the walls of a hospital close to home. In a hospital where you are not just a number. A hospital where you are surrounded by people who care. We lost a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather this year and are still coming to terms with that. The last two weeks of Bob’s life were spent in Chesley Hospital, a place he strongly supported and a place he chose to stay for the little time he had left. I can’t begin to tell you how important it was to be here, surrounded by so many capable health care professionals who knew my husband and felt our pain as deeply as we did. When a locum doctor from Toronto, who has spent many years giving service to the Chesley Hospital, tells you that this is where you need to be at this stage in your illness, and your family doctor is brought to tears when your loved one passes, you know your family is in the best of care. Please support the Chesley Hospital Foundation and all that it does, as you are able.

The Foundation needs to raise $23,000 this holiday season. Our hospital needs new vital sign machines and IV pumps. Our machines are 7 years old and in need of replacement. By keeping equipment current we serve both admitted patients and those in our emergency room to the highest standard and provide our Chesley Hospital staff with tools to ease their challenging roles.   Will you donate today to ensure that families like the Johnsons have the best possible experience in our hospital?
